As the country celebrated its 123rd Independence Day and remembered the sacrifices of its forefathers, the DOH asked Filipinos to continue doing their part by following health protocols to avoid contracting and spreading the disease.

We achieved freedom in exchange for the sacrifices of our nation’s heroes. This Independence Day, we must realize the value of their sacrifices by making decisions for the good of the country, especially in the middle of the pandemic),” the agency said in a statement.
