PHILIPPINES: PRES DUTERTE ORDERS NATIONAL POLICE TO LIST DOWN COPS WITH DRUG LINKS

MANILA-- President Rodrigo Duterte has ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to come up with a list of police officers who have links to the illegal drug trade and reiterated his promise of a P2-million reward for 'dead' police officer.

Duterte gave the order to PNP chief Ronald Bato dela Rosa during his visit to the Ozamiz City Police Station in Misamis Occidental last Thursday.

I am ordering the PNP chief to order somebody there in [Camp] Crame to prepare a list. No questions asked, Duterte said.

I will not ask who killed you. I want you there, down, dead, he added.

The President also said that police officers who were involved in the killing of their colleagues will also have P2 million on their heads.

Duterte also said policemen are also free to join the hunt and even added a free Hong Kong trip to the reward.

President Duterte offered the P2-million reward initially for information leading to the whereabouts or apprehension of each of the policemen involved in the mass killing in Ozamiz City which allegedly involves the Parojinog clan.

The policemen who are now shortlisted in the killing of so many civilians buried in a cemetery there at the back of the barangay hall, each of those policemen now carry on their head P2 million. And you are free to go on leave, he added.

P2 million per headdead or alive. Better dead because I have to pay for the funeral parlor, that is an added expense, he continued.
