MANILA-- The southwest monsoon could bring light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over most parts of Luzon on Monday, state weather agency Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
In its 24-hour forecast, PAGASA said the effect of the southwest monsoon will be felt over Ilocos, Mimaropa, Aurora, Zambales and Bataan.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rainshowers or thunderstorms, it added.
Meanwhile, moderate to occasionally strong winds will blow from southwest over the western section of Luzon, and from southeast over extreme northern Luzon.
Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.
Light to moderate winds will blow from southeast over the rest of Luzon, and from southeast to south over Visayas and Mindanao with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
