DENR seeks PRRD’s certification of EPEB bill

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) is awaiting President Rodrigo Duterte’s official call for Congress to immediately pass the bill that will create the Environmental Protection and Enforcement Bureau (EPEB). “To help fast-track the bill’s passage, we requested the President’s support certifying this as urgent,” DENR Region IV-A Executive Director Nilo Tamoria said Thursday during the online 4th National Environmental Law Enforcement Summit. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and a couple of its line agencies on Thursday called on commuters to use public transportation, especially along the Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (Edsa), to avoid the increasing traffic along the major thoroughfare. Japanese firms eye green lanes for investments in PH

Japanese companies remain interested in investing in the Philippines as they expect express lanes in the country to facilitate their investments. In a statement Thursday, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said the agency had a business dialogue with Japanese firms wherein they expressed their interest to explore expansion and diversification of products to be manufactured here. Crash victim’s mom against son entering Army

The body of Pvt. 1st Class Carlo Dapanas Jr., one of the 49 soldiers who died in the C-130 crash in Sulu, has arrived at his home in Barangay Tu-od here.
